Sometimes I test other peopleâs reaction when I tell them I think Minecraft Villagers are based off Jews and wait for them to call me racist or anti-semitic before explaining that I meant in the form of the iron golems they summoned might be based off of the golem of Prague. Then I call them out for assuming the worst. I need validation from other humans to determine if that is a healthy behaviour.

I donât consider this behavior healthy at all.
Actions can be hard to separate from intentions. In this case, youâre being intentionally obtuse for shock value, instead of misguided didactry (teaching). You are implying that villagers, in their entirety, are based after an unfairly maligned group - even embodying the stereotypes of long noses and money grubbing. Iâm not Jewish, so I canât really evaluate the lacking culture that villagers have to see if thereâs inspiration other than that and the golems.
Golems themselves arenât based on Jewish people, theyâre just invented by them. Since both players and villagers can summon golems, that doesnât imply much about the ethnicity of the creator.
You could have just said that golems are creatures in Jewish folklore, and not have had made a scene, but alas. Being intentionally wrong for shock value reflects negatively upon you - people have boundaries and subjects they are not comfortable with, and your actions arenât respectful of that.
Also, please donât say âJewâ if youâre not part of the community. âJewish peopleâ is preferred.

Thanks for the serious reply. This has been nagging my head for the past few days and made me wonder Am I really that bad?. I guess this is a good wake up call for me to take a hard look at myself and start self improving. Or for all I know, maybe I was just subconsciously seeking attention. Either way, thanks for bringing up my behaviour so I can fix it.

If we are living in a simulation the probability of another sentient life form in OUR universe is extremely unlikely because why make another species (that could possibly waste computing power) when you can convince your simulations inhabitants that they just arenât looking hard enough.
If our universe was a simulation, letâs be glad GrayStillPlays isnât running it
