THE NEW Miscellaneous Talk That Doesn't Deserve A New Thread Thread Thread (Part 2)

Nahh, it’s just the perks of living in a small, partially abandoned town, that’s also a former n@zi (and later soviet) military base, surrounded by a forest.

I’m probably just a bit paranoid and, especially at night, I tend to overfocus on stuff like sounds. While what I heard recently was certainly the creepiest noise to ever come out of the forest behind my house, it still most likely was just an animal doing its normal animal things.

Wouldn’t be that surprising tbh

I think this is the most likely explanation.

Rooster Teeth was owned by Warner Bros and they decided to shut it down. Speaking of Warner Bros, they apparently bought Adult Swim and are apparently not too fond of their games. They sent a message to Soundodger+’ developer (an Adult Swim game) stating that their game is going to be shutdown in 60 days (from March 7th 2024). The developer even asked them to transfer ownership to them, but they refused. Since they’re shutting down one game, it is possible that they will shutdown every Adult Swim game.

Adult Swim is a TV channel that streams several mature cartoons such as:

  • Rick and Morty
  • Bob’s Burgers
  • American Dad (I think?)
  • Family Guy (I think?)

Oh, I always thought it was some small internet studio of sorts.

Only Rick and Morty is an adult swim cartoon. And to reduce their entire catalogue to just Rick and Morty is wildly insulting.

I mean, they also mentioned “Bob’s Burgers”, but I’ve never heard of that cartoon.

Bob’s Burgers is not Adult Swim!
Venture Bros. XRA. Boondocks. Smiling Friends.
Do any of you philistines even know what art is?

Art is a diverse range of human activity and its resulting product that involves creative or imaginative talent generally expressive of technical proficiency, beauty, emotional power, or conceptual ideas.

Well, I remember seeing it play on Adult Swim a few months ago.

Adult swim also does toonami which air animes in the us

I don’t think this is a good time to use this term…

@hhyyrylainen, I got a question for you. If mods/admins can see deleted posts, can they see deleted threads too or are threads deleted for good since only admins can delete them?

Deleted threads don’t show up in the normal forum browsing view, but I think if I had a link or another way to find a thread I would be able to read it even if it was deleted.

Also it is possible for the original poster of a thread to delete it like you can do for your own posts.

I would expect this video to be in the wiki raid thread.

yes.

Correct answer: NO.

Zero is absolutely a number, and a very important one. I found a YouTube video on the history of numbers and advancements in maths, and how they’re linked. I’ll try to find a link to that.

If we consider zero representing nothing and any positive number representing something, then, if we let ourselves try to do the sin and divide, for example, 1 by 0 (I know such number is unknown/undefined), then it’s like asking how much there is somethings in nothing, and I guess there are no somethings in nothing.
You can ignore me, I was just wondering about that during a class :eyes:

Edit: Nevermind it’s the opposite, it would be how many zeroes would there be in ones :flushed:

Some of the ancient Greek pre-Socratic philosophers speculated about the concept of nothingness in this way, even going so far as to say that nothingness is completely incomprehensible - and it is meaningless to even speak of it. Though, that raises the question of how their claims about it could be meaningful!

The number 0 is different than merely nothing, however. Many mathematical systems only make sense with 0 being a number. As maths has advanced over the millennia, there has been a need to extend the concept of ‘a number’ to include a broader range of things. 0 became a number for most societies when it became accepted that it made sense in the right contexts. It was the same with fractions, ‘irrational numbers’, infinity and so on.

On an unrelated note, I found this rather interesting video:

After seeing that it’s from the Discovery Institute (a Creationist think tank), I’m wondering how distorted it is from reality.

Well, why not do some research for yourself from a few scientific papers on the matter, if there are any.
Idk just some advice I have for people wanting to learn more about a subject they’re not sure is accurate.
For example a news channel that broadcasts information.
