THE NEW Miscellaneous Talk That Doesn't Deserve A New Thread Thread Thread (Part 2)

Are you saying this about us or yourself?

It’s a partial step in the right direction (as far as I understand it they are still only partially opening their rendering stack). But this is way late and shows that nvidia only cares about this stuff when their absolutely dominating marketshare might be in trouble due to increased competition, they definitely aren’t doing this out of goodness of their hearts but due to fear of being seeing as really hard to use graphics option that breaks with kernel updates.

A question: Will the Ferroplast be a non-LAWK feature?

No, because that’d require someone to modify the endosymbiosis feature to not allow picking a non-LAWK resulting organelle. So if ferroplast was marked as non-LAWK you could still get one thanks to endosymbiosis, and someone would definitely report that as a bug / inconsistency at some point. So I made the decision that it should be LAWK because otherwise we’ll have an open bug that no one will fix for like 3+ years at least and I’d in the meantime have to read occasional complaints again and again about it.

Wasn’t the main goal of the LAWK and Non-LAWK distinction to mark which features are found in real organisms and which are only speculative? I am fairly sure that a ferroplast endosymbiont does not exist in real life, unless an another reason why it’s LAWK is that it would be relatively easy to develop it from iron-using microbes.

ME! Also, the image doesn’t show up in your quote.

Like I said, ferroplast would have been marked non-LAWK had I not intervened, but there would be a bug with it that would basically stay forever (because I predict that no one would ever volunteer to fix it). So I made the decision to not mark it as non-LAWK so that we don’t have a bug in the game basically forever that means that you can anyway get that organelle even when playing with LAWK on.

So in summary marking it as non-LAWK would only partially work and would likely never be properly fixed, so it would be pretty useless to mark it as a non-LAWK organelle.

I think that still it should be said somewhere in-game that ferroplast hasn’t been found in any known organism.

I don’t recall any pride flag only using the three RGB colors, may you say which one is it?

The closest I found was the polysexual flag but that looks very different from the colors chosen

i just used RGB because yes, and it looks good, not really any other reason.

I thought that maybe you decided to put there a second rainbow flag for some reason but only with the three colors.

HAPPY LATE PRIDE MONTH :3333!

Shouldn’t that poll be in the forum game’s thread?

To be fair, it is not for one forum game, and even if there was a thread for all the forum games and stuff related to them, it’s long dead now.

Edit: I meant species (plural), multiple kinds for many future forum games, not just one species.
