I can now (hopefully) start my master degree.
I have been accepted to a real lab.

I will doing genetics engineering, some wet works with plants and hummus and do some bioinformaric works

Oh wait, I thought that the brain stuff which you talked about in july of 2023 was behind this state.

Apathy and brain fog have started way before two years ago, but it wasn’t this bad then. Depression started two years ago, though, which made it worse.

My computer just broke yesterday, because the os hard drive just died (I had a backup that restored some of the data I lost). So I had to reinstall windows and reinstall everything else. But then the cooling system failed today lmao

next time anyone has to reinstall for any reason I recommend getting LTSC edition, it’s literally the only way to keep windows 10 and it also have an 11 version and in both you can uninstall edge.

Funny enough, I am resetting my grandmas old 2007 Inspiron and I’m getting about every issue possible (processor not good enough for windows 11, white screen of death etc…) and it had you a old keyboard a dusty mouse without a mouse pad, and a 1.8 TB!!! External drive, we each have half a working computer lol.

Why don’t people just switch to Linux at this point? Rather than trying to use unofficial Windows hacks to make it more bearable.

Why don’t people just switch to Linux at this point? Rather than trying to use unofficial Windows hacks to make it more bearable.

I daily drive linux, but sometimes you need windows. I use ltsc because it can have chunks ripped out of it (edge) so it doesn’t take up a ton of space. Schools and employers and people too lazy or uncomputersavy to learn linux will exist until unix gets taught in school, which would make sense.

due to the constant thought of “what if X thing i need to install don’t exist on linux?” plus i absolutely have no belgiuming idea why all the terminal belgium is so important
oh, and i recently learned that bin folders mean binARY, not trash bin, so you can see how badly know i am.

I have a water dispenser in my apartment that uses a plastic tube to suck water out of big water jugs. Sometimes when the water gets low, the tube sticks out of the puddle and can’t get all of it, so, without consulting me, my roommate cut the tube. Is this safe? My roommate claims that the cut was clean but I’m still worried about more microplastics getting into the water now.

TIL that in the Naruto anime, everything that happens after the Sasuker disappearance arc is entirely filler. Man, the anime is more complete than the manga haha.
