THE NEW Miscellaneous Talk That Doesn't Deserve A New Thread Thread Thread (Part 2)

Is the Deckard releasing the only cure for this madness?

I wonder if Brad was just releasing cope material or if he really was hinting that it could be announced tomorrow. Iโ€™ve gone to archive[dot]org and the web page hasnโ€™t been archived before today.

Maybe your hopes should be set on dates further in time than tomorrow. It can be unhealthy to have this sort of anticipation for a long time.

I just looked back at Bradโ€™s post. It was posted yesterday. Hmmโ€ฆ

Well then the dubious prediction was infact correct for it to be doubtedโ€ฆ

Interesting. Will โ€œMilky Seasโ€ be important enough to make it into the game someday?

That is for the developers to decide. Probably wonโ€™t get added anytime soonโ€ฆ

Thatโ€™s basically what Interslavic does for the Slavic languages. Itโ€™s essentially a constructed creole with the goals of being optimally understandable by the speakers of different slavic languages and to facilitate easier communication between them.

Do YOU know how to speak interslavic?

R.I.P., Lounge Video Posting Thread. It had a good run. :headstone: :bouquet:

Someone will be very angry about a certain โ€œforbiddenโ€ word having been saidโ€ฆ

No, but at least I can attest that itโ€™s rather successful at being understandable (at least to a Polish native speaker). I can understand 60~90% of spoken Interslavic (which is significant when compared to most other slavic languages, of which Iโ€™m only able to understand individual words or phrases).

Which part makes up the 10-40% inunderstandable?

There is no concrete answer to that. Itโ€™s just a particular collection of features such as phonetics, grammar and individual words that in some situations just happens to produce a result that is simply not understandable to my brain.

Has the popularity of interslavic been growing over time?

Most definitely. The Interslavic YouTube channel has been steadily growing in terms of subscriber counts. The Facebook group grew from ~2 000 to over 20 000 membersโ€ฆ In general the language has been seeing an increasing usage in art, popular media and other things.

Over what timeframe did that happen?

Around five years.
