THE NEW Miscellaneous Talk That Doesn't Deserve A New Thread Thread Thread (Part 2)

What sort of book is that?

Probably something for enslaving catgirls. :person_shrugging:

We don’t talk about that in the forum anymore.

I hope this will save EKWB from bankruptcy and save its employees from not getting paid.

A sci-fi adventure novel.

The book opens like this:

Mickaal Murf, an Azkaanian national imprisoned for embezzlement, is in a prison courtyard during roll call lamenting his fate. He’s essentially a sullen bast ard who doesn’t understand the concept of self responsibility.

Then, a spaceship lands in the courtyard and a man wearing power armor and an ostrich-plumed cavalier hat steps out, shooting at the guards and yelling for the prisoners to follow him.

Mickaal turns away from the man and begins to run, only for another prisoner to grab him as a human shield. Mickaal, his kidnapper, and two other men make it to the ship’s ramp before it begins to lift off.

The ship’s owner then removes his helmet and welcomes them to the Moon of Tajeran.

The characters are as such;

Mickaal. Who very much does not want to be here.

A callous sociopath (the one who grabbed Mickaal). The sort of man who wouldn’t hesitate to commit cannibalism if it were the only option for dinner.

A wannabe gangbanger. Very desperate to please.

A near-catatonic veteran.

A teenage girl’s brain in a jar. In direct control of the ship.

An accidentally kidnapped princess.

A prince in hot pursuit of the Moon of Tajeran after the kidnapping of his sister.

And the Captain of the ship, Alastor Abney. He’s essentially a futuristic Don Quixote. A multi-trillionaire who suffered a complete mental breakdown following a divorce and a midlife crisis who has decided to use his considerable wealth in order to become an adventurer. He suffers from active delusions throughout the story and genuinely believes his crew of murderous degenerates to be noble warriors.

How long do you plan the book to be?

Pretty long. I have multiple arcs planned.

How much are you done with the book now?

Still writing the first draft. I’m taking my time with this one. I think it will be a real hole-in-one. Something that people really remember. I honestly think I’m capable of making a mainstream success at this point.

What do you plan to title the book?

Moon of Tajeran.

Unrelated, but I also plan for the cover to be simplistic, yet bright blue-green clouds with the small, black outline of a ship flying through them.

This sounds strangely familiar…

Nothing of importance anymore.

Anyways when did you come up with the idea for this book?

About a half year ago. Had a dream that inspired the opening scene, and the rest grew out of that.

And in how much time do you think the book will be complete?

I’m trying to reach a daily wordcount of 4000, so it could be anywhere from another six months or a year.

I don’t plan to get the cover or illustrations done until I’ve completed the final draft either, so that could add on a little more time. I’ll do spellchecking then though.
