Tbh, Québécois being overzealous about their French language and culture, to the point encroaching on the rights of other linguistic communities, is, perhaps, one of the most French things they could be doing xd (France has a habit of systematically destroying it’s minority cultures and languages, primarily through forced assimilation).

Spontaneously. I think it arose from a chain of thought originating from a Dwarf Fortress short, where a guy was showing, that right before he started his livestream, some monster killed virtually all the dwarfs, sparing only a singular child hiding in a bedroom.
