The story of Hytale is not a story of rush. It is a story of mismanagement.
A better comparison would be when No Manโs Sky first released over a decade ago.
I meant that Hytale tried to be so good it ended up being slain like many rushed games are. Fortunately it got revived
Thatโs not exactly what happened.
They never tried to speed things up, but what happened after they were bought by Riot was that the company became a sponsor (full artistic control remained with the developers) and the money just kept slipping away with the budget every year and no progress was seen. Because it was costing them too much money, they had to give up on the idea and close it.
Simon, who heard about it, decided to buy back the IP. After months of discussions (closed, itโs unknown what the agreement was, probably camio), he succeeded, but because of the return to the original engine (URE 5 vs. java), they were pretty much back to where they were before. (It was said in the idea with him that Riot would give them the code so they could convert the work that was done, but it would take quite a while before we would see anything). Following that, this whole story.
None of this is Rushed
Personally, when the preorder becomes available in about 10 days, I will buy the supporter version, provided I know what it offers.
I never claimed it was? I just said they pretty much spent too much time making it good (those who succeeded Simon when Riot took over).
I guess so
But Iโm glad it finally came out and it seems like real progress.
I wants to create a mod with the tools theyโll be releasing there. Wants to combine pelo with fantasy.
Thereโs already dinosaurs and saber-tooths there, so why not camberian fantasy? I have an idea for a very strange and unique biome like this ![]()
Who in the world is that?
Hopefully, there will be mod each for each Period of Earthโs History (I want Ediacaran trichordates).
I think people might focus on the fantasy stuff more at first
Will it be easy to make mods on Hytale?
It is literaly made to make modding very easy, that was one of itโs premises
I am trying to remember since it has been such a long time when I last saw the dev blogs, but will Players be able to play Hytale offline like Minecraft?
Like, in questions revolving around โWhat if dinosaurs never went extinctโ never go into detail about it. There was this one alt-hist YA story where literally everything in the history of the world is the same except thereโs magic that can literally convert matter to any different type of state.
Of course, itโs not predatory Iโve heard
Me when the Deckard was announced.
Would you have a similar reaction if HL3 got announced?
ESPECIALLY because theyโve been doing it from birth
Maybe even more considering itโs larger than the Deckardโฆ
Well they would have only been observing it at first Iโd thinkโฆ
That depends on whether or not I can find that key factor other than Lineage that differentiates Macroalgae from Bryophytes. I would like to research it more (if I can find the time), but I THINK the best bet is โComplex Division of Labor (Cell Specialization)โ. Macroalgae has Holdfasts for attaching to substrates, Stripes for structural support, and Fronds for maximizing surface area, however, it is my understanding that all of these parts are capable of some degree of photosynthesis, storage, and reproduction. In Bryophytes, there are a much clearer division of: these parts are for creating sugar, these parts are for storage, and these parts are for reproducing. I think.
If I am correct, I should be able to fix the classification system I have been working on to account for Algae that can be Soft or Hard, as well as Terrestrial or Aquatic, separate from Bryophytes that can be Terrestrial of Aquatic, though my system will still assume that Bryophytes are โSoftโ (at least compared to Herbaceous plants and Shrubs and Trees). If โDivision of Laborโ is not the answer, than I am not sure there is one separate from โLineagesโ .
I confirm this statement
Just yesterday I was teaching my students about Bryophytes (mosses for those who didnโt understand) and explaining the differences between algae (macroalgae) and Bryophytes.
