Nevermind then.

@MechanicalPumpkin I don’t think we are allowed to research steel yet.

Ummm
Then… less time wasted would be a better way to describe it

Iron would be a prerequisite to steel. You would have to upgrade the ovens too.

So? Mechanical pumpkin has iron, I just don’t think that @OmnipotentFNarr is letting us research it yet.

Yeah so no steel yet, right now iron is the highest you can get yet unless you talk about meteor ore (Titanium)

Iron was tier 4. Titanium is tier 6. I conclude that steel is tier 5. What else could it be?

Yeah there is a lot of advanced tech required to make steel and I don’t have any of that yet so i was exaggerating

A more accurate thing for me to say is that my technology levels would rapidly increase in the next few rounds

Omni just isn’t allowing us to make it yet.

I don’t think you can make titanium tools yet tho  or can you?

I feel like maybe that kind of steel be 4.5 and then once in the industrial revolution and research a better way to make it we get tier 5 and get the full power since steel is now more available

If he could, we could use steel then due to the high temperature required.

I have not been asked to change my vote so i think i can

When is @Pentaphon coming back?

Hmm, well we are definitely past 1800 B.C. We are at 500 B.C. Right now so… @OmnipotentFNarr?

They are on right now but i feel like we should not bother him since it only been like 2 days he probably knows now

Antiquity steel was very inconsistent and of poor quality, as well as being very expensive to produce. That’s why I’m holding it back until the industrial age.

When you mean industrial age do you mean that time period or tech level

  • 548 (wow).
  • We haven’t invented government, and we’re about to start a civil war.
  • 3: Laestrygonia (Capital, at the confluence of the Risle and the Seine), Xirimiri (On the north coast of Guernsey) and Gerla (On the eastern Mediterranean island of [REDACTED]).
  • Sedentary, with some pastoral population.
  • Civ.

Like I said earlier somewhere, steel was there but before the industrial revolution it was difficult and expensive to produce, and even a sword would be made with just a strip of it along the cutting edge.

Sorry to keep everyone waiting, especially because my action is going to be anticlimactic.

Oh, definitely the tech level. Time doesn’t matter, I use it as a guide more than anything.
