After my wonderful dream, I wake up. I was never an early riser, preferring to sleep for a long time. But my Father was already up, based on the typing sounds I hear from upstairs. I lift my upper body again and head upstairs. My Father was already checking his email for any last minute important emails he might need to respond to. He then checked the flight information, making sure that nothing changed about the flight. “Oh no! I need to leave very soon, since thunderstorms should be starting soon,” I hear him say as he subsequently closes and hides his computer. Looking outside through the curtains, the sky looks darker and darker. When my Father goes downstairs, I remind him to take the packets cheese by pointing at the fridge. I also write “Don’t forget the cheese packets!” I did not want to touch the carry-on bag or the suitcase while he checks everything, in case I accidentally tip them over. "Take care, AthropocenianAge, " my Father says, and I nod my head and wave some of my upper limbs at him. When he opens the garage door, the sound of thunder starts and my Father frantically puts the suitcase and carry-on in the back of our SUV. I stay back inside, not wanting to accidentally reveal my form to anyone else outside, as he starts the SUV and back out. I hear the garage door closing as the sound of rain starts.

Having nothing else to do while in the hospital, you continue to think about what you will do next. You don’t know how long you will stay there, and are worried about other people questioning you. You already saw the doctor several hours ago, whose words still echo in your mind. “You are lucky to be alive from the encounter you had with the dragon. You might need at least several weeks to recover,” the doctor said in an empathic tone. Back in the present, you close you eyes, imagining yourself healing, and then a miracle happens. You feel the burning sensation of your skin slowly going away. You feel your strength coming back to you. You no longer feel the pain of moving due to the internal stab wounds. You open your Giga Chad eyes and look at the nearest mirror, seeing yourself fully recovered. You get up as you hear someone talking in the hallway. “We need to speak with this man,” you hear the distinctively Russian accident from whoever is talking.

You suddenly feel very sleepy, going back into the bowl of water. Your Mother had just put on her shoes and gone out to get the tank, leaving your Father in charge. You Father notices you are tired, and is concerned. “Are you ok, aah31415?” You nod yes. Panic starts to creep into your Father’s voice, “We..we didn’t make you sick, did we?!” You look up at your Father, and nod no. You come out of your bowl of water, and start writing with the Marker, which has started to run out of ink. “I am just tired from all the excitement today. It does not look like I will be able to see any kind of doctor today.” Your Father tilts his head to the side and says, “Are there even any veterinarians that treat Crayfish?” You raise your clawed upper limbs in an act of shrugging.

Your dog accidentally hits the wall and wimpers before panting again. She can smell the bunny outside. You see this and want to pet your dog to comfort her, but you don’t want to take any unnecessary risks of your parents finding you in this form. You hear the continued creaking of the doors upstairs, and the start hearing the sound of a shower. You slowly come out through the hole in the closet door, and head to the computer. You slowly attempt to open the computer with your paws. You then begin to try typing by tapping the keyboard with your saber teeth/snoot. You want to learn how to do Morse Code, but typing is slow using your current method. It is analogous to using only one finger for typing. Tap! Tap! The tapping sound on the keyboard starts to get mixed with the sound of foot steps coming closer.

You want to find water, but are unsure of where to find it. While you are still flying, you attempt to take water by “eating” the nearest cloud. After all, clouds are just a collection of water droplets. However, it does not really work the way you intended. The mouthful of mist gives you a tiny bit of water, and the water is colder than you expect it to be. Despite finally having some meager amount of water, you growl out of frustration. You continue to grumble and take more “bites” out of clouds as you pass by. At least some water is better than nothing. You don’t remember which direction you were heading, since were focused on getting some water. You see flashing lights close by.

You are unsure of how it happened. One minute, you were posting on the Thrive Community Forum late in the evening. The next, you suddenly blank out and feel weird. You kept your room with little light in order to save on electricity, so it is hard to see initially what happened. It takes some time to adjust to your new eyes, but eventually, you see your room again in the dark. But it looks different. Almost like you have night vision now. You look down and see that you now have paws where you hands and feet used to be. Your sense of smell is much more heightened than what it was, as you are initially inundated with the strong smell of air freshener. You blink and realize that elongated thing just in front of your eyes is your new nose. A fox nose.

You love Kerbal Space Program, and have not been able to play the game for a while. Since you got a new computer, you need to install it. Although, you might just pirate it if something goes wrong. Your Anteater tongue is practically coming out of your mouth as you gaze at your next target. Unlike the backyard you came into, the next door neighbor does not have any holes in their fence. Not a problem. You get on your hind legs and attempt to get on the fence. When you put your weight on one of the fence boards, it simply snaps. Such shoddy workmanship nowadays, you think as you plop on the ground. You then head to that ant hill and start literally digging in. You are unsure of when your next meal will come, so you think it is a good idea to eat a lot now. After gorging on the second ant hill, you cannot believe your Anteater eyes. You see yet another ant hill next to the fence straddling this house and the next one over.
