The Unexpected Profile Favorite Species FG

And at the same time, discovering that you are not human… creepy…

To be fair, I am fairly sure your character would still count as a human. Others however… wouldn’t have a so familiar form.

I just imagined how the other unlucky ones who ended up in the chambers would feel.

Well, they’d be still “asleep”.

Why? If they are kept under anesthesia all the time, they will die, but scientists need living specimens.

Ah, so you need to “break out” I presume?

Also, will there be a random roll made to check if domin survives?

Action: Gently scoop up @domin2ktr and fly him to the nearest hospital. (if I somehow make the situation worse, I am going to just become a hermit…)

If you do become a hermit, what shall you do?

how would me joining be handled, since i have a lot of favorite species?

Is there one species you like more among your favorite species?

@willow, you could also just choose one species for your initial transformation, and then turn into another of your favorite species later on.

Is only one transformation a player allowed?

I will make an an exception for Willow. Everyone else will only have one transformation.

So willow has an unlimited count of them?

not really, i just like them all for different reasons
for example, foxes are just cause foxes, and they’re basically cat software running on dog hardware, with a dolphin soundboard

felis catus is just cause cats are cute and the most successful hunters on land aside from humans, and because i want to be one

axolotls(ambystoma mexicanum) are because they’re cute, can regenerate from just a heart and a third of their brain in under a month if they have to

yellow spotted salamanders(ambystoma maculatum) are mainly cause they’re the only animal to have gotten its own chloroplasts, and they not only photosynthesize during adulthood, but they also have a higher survival rate for their eggs than all other salamanders that lay their eggs in large clusters, and rely on the algae as a source of food and oxygen as embryos!
and also they look goofy as adults, and even goofier as larvae

chlorobaculum tepidum is because they’re a species of green sulfur bacteria that can tolerate oxygen, as well as both high abd low temperatures, and green sulfur bacteria can photosynthesize with up to 95% efficiency in the abscence of oxygen, and, they can also power their cells with atp generated directly by their chlorosomes!

blue ringed octopi are cause octopi are amazing and cause they’re extremely venomous, and also look cool, and have eyes that work how eyes should work(the nerves don’t have to pass through the retina like they do in all vertebrates)

harcheting mantis shrimps are cause mantis shrimps are cool and they’re the coolest ones

the greenland shark is because they’re the closest related thing to vertebrates that doesn’t experience cellular senescence or physiological senescence, that isn’t a mole rat, and sharks constantly grow new teeth!

and the last one is because they’re a proto animal that can only do anaerobic respiration, which means they managed to find a niche where their mitochondria were a hinderance
though, most animals can perform anaerobic respiration when necessary

what about starting as a mix of a cat and a fox, and gaining traits of the others or transforming into them through necessity?
for example, axolotl by losing a limb, ambystoma maculatum by being in a place where oxygen is too thin but there’s enough light to supply me with oxygen if i had, chlorobaculum tepidum’s chlorosomes as a result of already having chloroplasts, but not being able to capture enough energy to make enough oxygen to power my body, or blue ringed octopi by being faced with an opponent much stronger, faster, smarter, and bigger than me, where the only other way to survive would be to kill it with an extremely lethal venom

and if i’m transforming into them, going back from chlorobaculum tepidum would be as a result of another cell trying to eat me, and transforming into the cat-fox thing would be due to falling from a high place and needing the air resistance and shock absorption of cats
but also, since with mitosis, both daughter cells are the parent cell, would staying in that form as a result of low oxygen and low light for long enough to perform mitosis, then both of me getting engulfed by smth, cause there to be two of me?

I think they were refering to vertebrates. Domestic cats have a success rate of about 70%, and have a history of causing extinctions
