Attempt to get my bearings in the new Carboniferous environment I found myself in.

I am absolutely confused by what just transpired, but also feel better breathing this more moist air for some reason. While waiting for my Arthropleura eyes to adjust in the complete darkness, one Mazon Creek microsaur called Diabloroteris was surprised by my sudden appearance and bites one of my many limbs out of panic. I feel pain and accidentally flick the tiny 5.3 cm lizard-like amphibian somewhere. With my natural bioluminescence slightly illuminating the area, I can tell I am in a dense forest with strange tree-like horsetail Annularia, strange seed ferns like Neuropteris, and ancient conifer-like gymnosperms Cordaites. Feeling exhausted by the turn of events, I crawl on the ground until I find an elevated rocky area to curl up and sleep, hoping Animalia is ok.

You do not even notice you are now underwater and hydrated. The nearby Late Triassic Italian crustaceans like Acanthochirana triassica and Antrimpos colettoi are surprised by your sudden appearance in the water. Then, a shadow falls from the midday sun, causing panic among the krewe of crayfish-like crustaceans. You are so absorbed by your loss that you do not notice early pterosaur Eudimorphodon rosenfeldi, which then takes you out of the water as food.

One moment, you were seeing a giant millipede in an SUV. Now, you are in raining tropical forest-like area at night in Argentina. You say think to yourself, “What the heck?”, as you hear something coming toward you. You decide to temporarily hide by climbing a tree, as you do not know what is coming toward you. From the tree top, you see it is a baby Devincenzia lost in the forest and looking for its Terror Bird family, deciding it would be better for you to sleep in the tree tops for safety.

The area at dawn is filled with various types of Ginkgoales trees, and you hear unfamiliar sounds. You shake the water off of you, when a group of Jurassic Scansoriopterygidae dinosaurs similar to Yi qi show up around you, making you realize you are in Late Jurassic China. You are about to scare them off, when the small bat-like dinosaurs start chewing some rocks on the ground, and spit them out due to not being the right kind of rocks. You smell methane coming from them, as some of the Dracowings start breathing very small flames from their mouths, who then lower their heads toward you.

You are now in place next to an ocean where the climate is hotter and more humid, seeing flowering plants similar to modern magnolias, sassafras, and roses, when hear something familiar to Troodon brain at night. Could it be, you think, as you head more in land away from the beach, finding a group of Late Cretaceous Troodons. You attempt to communicate with them, saying “I a fellow Troodon named JustaDumbThriver,” but they do not understand you. Worse, when they communicate with each other, you cannot fully grasp what is being said. “Zho zre zou znd zhy zre zou zo zdd,” the leader Troodon says to you.

You find yourself in a more cool forested area at night, with the trees being Cypress-like Glossopteris, ancient stout cycads, and ancient seed plants Lyginopterids. Strangely, it does not feel as bad as you think, almost as if your Gorgonopsid body is in the correct climate and conditions. You see the borrow of a protomammal Lystrasaurus with the mother Lystrasaurus coming out to check if it is safe, and your mind immediately thinks of your family and Biscuit. You feel very peaceful, telling yourself hat they are in a better place, and hope you can see them again. Starting to feel tired out from a very eventful day, you decide to sleep next to the Lystrasaurus burrow for company, deciding to dream of your family and Biscuit.

You first fall from the sky, apparently changing places with failed predator’s catch. You flail your fins in a vain attempt to get lift and control your speed of falling. You splash down on a small puddle next to some ancient Gynocardia trees bearing fruit, breaking some bones of on your right fin. Despite the pain, you try to move to another location for safety during the afternoon in the warm temperatures, wondering what happened to your Gorgonopsid friend and your detective brother. You see a hissing Paleogene Vasuki indicus in the distance, the largest snake to ever be found in Earth’s history.

Even though you prepared for the hell-like conditions of the future, it was quite disorienting being transported to another time. Somehow, you can feel that part of you still exists in the ruined future. It does not take you much time to realize that the conditions are quite similar to what was happening in the future, which mean one thing: you might have been transport to the very early time on Earth’s history. Unfortunately, due to being a bacterium, you cannot actually see this landscape or move around to explore it. You wonder if you can still connect to aah31415 and possibly other transformed people’s dreams as you attempt to “sleep”.
