There are less risky and more effective ways of advertisement than raiding.
Even stuff like going to a site similar in nature to r/place and drawing a Thrive logo there is a better option.
Imagine some people from a different community invade our forums, discord, etc. and advertise the game they love, disrupting threads and general discussion. You would be upset if that happened, right? You could even have the urge to to push back and retaliate at the invaders. Some more malicious people could actually do it, invading the raiders’ community in an attempt to destroy it. So that’s how the people from a different community would feel.
Raiding may cause harm to the raided communities, which in turn could make them strike back at the raiders. If that happened to us, the effects would be disastrous.
