Thrive glitch

This glitch doesn’t really do anything that bad, it’s just that anytime a cell is engulfed while it was engulfing another cell, the cell becomes a ghost that doesn’t interact with anything at all. It never crashed or made the game unplayable, not for me at least, but it looks quite funny and fooled me a few times.

This is a well known bug to my knowledge and I think there have been attempts at fixing it.

Does it happen every time a cell is engulfed when it has stuff stored inside (engulfed other things)? If this is the known bug then that should absolutely not happen each time. Though I can’t say I’ve really noticed that happen recently so there could be a new regression there.

However if it only happens when the cell is not digestable and gets ejected, then yes there’s already an open issue about this:

There's been now two reports that from what I understand are the following seque…nce of events: - Have a indigestible membrane on the player - Get ingested by a cell - While you are not yet ejected, the cell that ate the player needs to itself get ingested - Now when the player is ejected from the first engulfer the logic for how that is handled while it is inside another engulfer doesn't work correctly The result then is probably that the player cell is ejected outside everything but the entity state is still in ingested mode thus preventing the player from doing anything.
