Thrive Loading Screen Artwork contest

Except I think it’s now thought elasmotherium didn’t really have a horn?

Would potential future art submissions also be allowed to make disturbance-esque creatures?

I suppose at long as they’re not close enough?

the loading screens for this project are to be tied to the creatures I design. When I get to making the disturbance look alike then doing so will be fine

Would the disturbancelike be cloneable or would there be no icy stuff to hold the remain in for long enough?

No idea about that. Also not sure what you mean by icy stuff

You know how the mammoths and some other animals have been trapped in ice for millenia which preserved them much better than regular soils would?

The only ice age that happens while life is on land happens so far into the past that any frozen animals would have thawed and decomposed by the present day (possibly becoming fossils). My plan for the disturbance like animal would be living up to a few thousands years to the present day

Would it be related to the sapients btw?

With the plan I have for the sapient species most likely not. Hell the disturbance look alike might not even be a descendant of the terrestrial hexaquill clades

So it could be descendant from a different land invasion lineage?

Yup. The fish like clade will be the one to colonize the northern continent along with the arthropod like clade. The southern continent is colonized by just the hexaquill clade, but it’ll be two clades within hexaquill as I want to still have the bug niches filled for the southern continent

Will the disturbance doppelganger be a large or a small organism?

Likely medium in size but that still depends on other factors

So I presume it’d be from the big clade of the hexaquill-descendant-only continent

I think falling into a Anaerobic Blue Hole might preserve it better than Ice would. I could be wrong.

Wouldn’t that require it to live where cenotes and stuff exists?

I might have it come from the hexapods that colonize the northern continent as the disturbance has 6 limbs in the art that exists of it

So it would have migrated to the south one somehow?
What niche do you plan for it to fill?

That’s for future me to figure out niche wise. The migration part will be easy as Pangonia will have a super continent again
