Beta usually means that a game has most of the features done and only smaller tweaks are needed. So Thrive is actually an alpha as we have nowhere near all of our main features implemented.

yeahh ive been in many beta releases and tbh this game just feel more like it’s in alpha, plus its just nowhere near complete. to be fair though cell stage feels like its in beta.
It still needs many features post-0.5.9, such as revamp of toxin system, general revamp of combat system, dynamic compound production, non-LAWK organelles that support cells on planets made by planet generator, bioluminoscence, and probably more
said beta not finished.
