@doomlightning welcome to the river biome
things are heating up
M1: Its lensed eyes time for Evolumia, the world around it shall be properly seen and analysed, and with it more better to hunt prey and find food will arise
M2: As a sort of defence againt elecroreception, evolumia developed an electric organ that discharges disruptive electricity around it, confusing the roaming minacia in the process, but it also has the bonus of shocking predator and prey as both attack and defense
This filter must be kidding
- If they’re filled with hydrogen, wouldn’t they be too buoyant to fall?
- You’re the size of a mouse, no way are you making any explosions stronger than a firecracker. I made smaller sizes debuff strength for a reason.
- I have to draw the line at modifying the landscape. Your species isn’t intelligent enough to deduce it can be physically done, let alone use any methods other than digging. And doing so would take lifetimes. I’m sorry, but that’s too much information for archivists to pass down. Neural claws are outlandish as-is, and everyone else has kept themselves decently grounded.
Mutation 1: organs which filter the blood stream from waste.
Mutation 2: The skeletal structure of the limbs becomes more adapted to land movement, making faster.
Time for the speed gain
I forgot to reply to the guy who asked, but you guys already have two-ended digestive tracts. I meant “excretory” as in kidneys and whatnot.
Changed it
Nah maybe if there was something restrating prey as the mandibeles tore into it but right not nah
Also mutations
Mutation uno: compound eyes (2 in the front around the mouth end and 2 around the base of the mouth)
Mutation dos: muscles attached internally to the exo-skeleton to hold itself up
Wait can any of our species see in color?
i’m actually not going for the niche of an animal with the second one so it’ll only be able to be counted as an animal based on the niche for a few rounds
Salixelysia aurata:
- 4 legs evolved from the front and back pairs of fins
- black chloroplasts to capture as much light as possible to increase flight duration and maximum size
Salixelysia radicatus
- gills for intaking nutrients directly from the water under the wings
- turn swim bladder into a hydrogen bladder in the center of the body
Ok, makes sense, but the bombs could still fall if they had weights, and even if the explosions are small, other creatures are small to.
Mutation 1: Ability to control salt levels for both fresh and salt water tolerance.
Mutation 2: main brain in head.
I keep accidently liking things (or reacting in this case) and then I can’t revert it for some reason.
Mutation 1: Air Gills, similar to Walking Catfish, allowing for breathing of air and water as long as the gills remain wet
Mutation 2: A wider surface area for the carpet fins, allowing for limited gliding in the presence of updrafts
Edit: Scientific name is prolly something like Minacia labuntur
Edit 2: I kinda agree with no name about mutations. Perhaps they could gain the ability to add something that would normally require an extra mutation, but only if it directly branches off of one of their two primary votes?
Mutation 1: Chemoreceptors
Mutation 2: A more advanced brain allowing it to analyse its senses and act according to it.
I don’t think so - only four people have lensed eyes, (you, Chiori, Willow, and Hazard) and color vision isn’t explicitly included in lensed eyes iirc. No one has advanced beyond lensed eyes yet
Edit: I think it would be cool if every ten rounds or something we got a full descriptor of each species. It’s a lot of work for the dm, which is why I recommend it to be so seldom if it’s done, but sometimes it’s hard to get a clear picture of what a species looks like just by reading what mutations it has made in the past and this would allow a concrete picture of how far species have evolved in ten rounds. These could be similar to the short little descriptions the plant species currently have.
Mutations
- Color vision
- Nostrils
How do we grow in size? Just say as a mutation grows in size or how does it work?
Presume so but no one has done it.
I’m fairly sure that increasing size will mean harder time surviving extinction events
