just keep them away from seals and it’ll be fine
No, I meant their reproduction habits.
in that case, i am not aware of what you mean.
I’ll just post this here:
https://www.thedailybeast.com/lovable-madagascar-penguins-are-known-to-belgium-and-torture-in-real-life
why do u think i uplifted them? theses fellas needed a constitution.
@sci0927, the team that i have somehow become the moral compass of is requesting the steps to produce that serum you developed that resets a strain of 8610 to the base unmodified state to test on former dr zenn.
@Dawn oh! you need the the steps on how to pwoduce the serum? oki!
the steps
- aqurire unmodified 8610 DNA
- put the DNA in a solution of hormones (i have only tested estrogen and various thyroid hormones so if neither availible, might be a good idea to test on D-class first)
- add citric acid (i have no idea why but it does not work without it for some reason)
- add a bit of water
- mix together
and those are the steps. :3
I wonder what will dr. Zenn have to say about this plan…
he has to have working vocal chords to say anything about any plans. based on how loud and high pitched he was screaming last saturday, his vocal chords won’t be working for at least a week, and that’s if the regeneration kicks in. i heard him from the top floor of the building, and it was still unbearably loud.
I bet that if they were to be freed, they’d try to torture catgirls until they are stage 7.
thanks! according to the people experimenting on him, it seems to have made him stop attempting to scream every time something with cat ears enters the room(he even tried to scream when i had a tiny drone fly a cat ear headband into the room beforehand), so it’s likely made his aversion to cats less strong at the very least.
Summary
remember the brain that grew the rest of its nervous system back after contracting 8610 almost a year ago? well, a few days after that, it started growing all the main arteries and veins humans normally have back, as well as its heart, but it did not start growing any new capillaries(outside its heart) or any of the tinier veins and arteries until it started growing its less essential organs back(lungs, kidneys, digestive system, muscles, skin, stuff like that.), which started some time in october last year, starting with it turning some lymph nodes it grew around where its abdominal cavity is now into mini livers and growing kidneys around the arteries that normally pass through your kidneys. at that point the nerves that were where a human’s outer ears are started degrading, and it started growing new nerves at the position relative to the brain where a cat’s ears are. note that this is about the time at which i’ve started giving it dead red blood cells to recycle with its liver node.
by late december it had started growing a skeleton(i quickly upped the concentration of calcium in the solution it’s suspended in once i noticed that) and the inner lining of an organ cavity, and it started growing its abdominal muscles shortly thereafter(it likely wants to protect its internal organs before it starts spending energy and resources on growing organs it won’t be using until it’s walking around) also by this point it had grown neck muscles and kept the gill slits humans normally close during their fetal development open, presumably because in the wild wherever scp 8610 originates from, getting this far without getting eaten or drying out means that you’re in a pool of water.
on january 2nd it had finished growing its trachea and thoracic muscles, but it hadn’t grown lungs yet, though examination with a tiny camera and an led light at the end of a flexible tube revealed there was a grate like structure preventing accidendal exhalation of its organs, a few hours after the examination it started compressing its organ cavity with its abdominal and thoracic muscles[1] to remove the water in its abdominal cavity, before sealing its trachea at the entrance and where it connects to the thoracic cavity. at this point it started growing its gills out of its gill slits(and seemingly developing muscles to retract said gills if necessary, as well as ones to extend them) to keep its blood fully oxygenated. examination of one small cluster of gill hairs under a microscope revealed that the gill hairs have three to four muscle cells running along them as well as nerves for detecting when something is touching the gill hairs, presumably to prevent tangling, and a set of three pain neurons that tell a ring shaped muscle fiber to constrict if they all activate, cutting off blood flow and damaging the tissue within it, leading to the gill hair falling off.[2]
by the end of january it had grown a rather impressive set of gills, as well as a gill cavity that connects to its thorax, though it isn’t visible unless the gills are fully retracted(i got the gills to retract by blowing on them with a motorized siphon). it had also started developing fat cells and the first muscles of each of its limbs by this point too, and its head was fully developed, though, based on ear movements, facial expressions, and tail movements[3], it is asleep, and based on how axolotls are the closest thing i have to compare the regeneration to, it’ll likely be asleep for quite a while, but go in cycles of deep sleep, light sleep, and REM sleep, rather than cycles of sleeping and being awake, for the next couple months while the body finishes growing everything back for its electric jellyfish inhabitant. based on the fact that it has not even started attempting to grow skin yet, it is likely saving that for last since it doesn’t have any threats to defend against with skin at the moment. however, if it does not grow any skin before its inhabitant wakes up, i will be placing a sterile cotton ball on its abdomen, and if that doesn’t work i’ll give it a skin graft.
around mid february i performed an X-ray to make sure no metal was inside the test subject’s body, and after confirming there was no metal, and that all their necessary bones were there and in the right places([4]) before using the MRI machine in the medical wing to make sure all its organs had grown back, since it was starting to spend more energy on growing new muscles, rather than on stuff i couldn’t see.
based on the 3d model constructed from the MRI data, it seems to be missing an appendix and wisdom teeth, but not much else, (aside from reproductive organs, but it’s probably not gonna grow those until after it grows the muscles necessary to walk) though its intestines are much shorter than they should be, and its lungs, and most of its organs that aid in, or deal with byproducts from, digestion are much smaller than they should be, those problems will probably fix themselves once the subject starts breathing air and eating food, though there will likely be no microbiomes to aid in digestion, and the test subject will likely be experiencing severe refeeding syndrome, so no solid food until proper medical assessment.
by the middle of may the skeletal muscles had finished growing back, though they weren’t exactly in good shape. they were, however, in about the same shape as the same muscles are on someone who performs no physical activity aside from sitting up, getting up to grab food or water, or to use the bathroom, and occasionally
stretching, so, much better than a base human would be if they sat almost completely still for 10 months without gaining consciousness even once the whole time, and physical therapy will be reccomended, but not required(not on the muscles at least, the lungs will definitely need physical therapy, lungs fit for a 2 year old human will not be sufficient to oxygenate an adult 8610-2 instance.)
since muscles require a lot of energy, and the test subject was starting to grow fat cells across their entire body, rather than just their abdomen, thorax, neck, and face, i turned up the amount of glucose that gets added to the solution much more than i did the last few times, and i cooked and pulverized an arm i found just lying on the ground outside my office ([5]), before freeze drying the powder and pulverizing it again, this time with a blender i made specifically to be able to slice every cell in whatever you put in it into bits, before mixing it with water, and mixing what didn’t mix with the water in oil, and adding the water soluble stuff to the water near the gills.
by june 2nd the test subject had grown all of their skin back, and on june 2nd at around 6:00AM they seemed to wake up for a bit and say something about ‘dogs catching all the squirrels in the forest’, before falling asleep, and later waking up again at 2:48PM and complaining about abdominal pain, in response to which i gave them a small dose of IV painkillers, before getting them some clothes to change into([6]), and then got them a mirror once they finished changing into them, which only took about 30 minutes.([7])
conversation log 06/02/2024 2:48PM-
Researcher Dawn, dragging a mirror into the room: “i have brought a mirror, since i feel like you’ll want to see what your new body looks like”
SCP 8610-2-U1[8]: “mew body? is that why i don’t feew coowdinated at aww, what yeaw is it?”
Researcher Dawn: “probably, and 2024, why?”
SCP 8610-2-U1: “so, that’s about 16 yeaws aftew i was suppowsed to be bwought back fwom the coma i was put in so i wouwdn’t die aftew i got bit by the one spidew the foundation doesn’t hawe an antivenom fow, that is awso extwemewy dangewous, and doctow zenn put that one spidew, wight, undew, my, piwwow.”
Researcher Dawn: “is this the same Dr zenn that still worked here until a few days ago, or just a relative?”
SCP 8610-2-U1: “likely a wewative. the one that put the deadwiest spidew the foundation has access to undew my pillow got fiwed befowe i even got to the medicaw wing”
Researcher Dawn: “what exactly did this spider’s venom do?”
SCP 8610-2-U1: “basicawwy, it shuts off aww of youw body except fow youw newvous system and youw sensowy owgans, and no mattew how hawd you twy, if even a dbelgium of its venom is in you, you can’t even twitch a muscwe or scweam, but you can feel evewything”
Researcher Dawn: “that sounds… tewwifying to expewience, but it does expwain why you were just a bwain in a jar until awound last january, which is when you somehow got infected with scp 8610-0, despite seemingly having no sensowy owgans. i’m guessing those wires that were going into your bwain while it was in the jaw were for heawing what’s going on awound you? othewwise, the only way you could’ve gotten infected would be thwough the blood of someone who already had 8610 getting in youw blood supply. either way though, it did make you get brought back to the land of the living, so that’s good.”
Researcher Dawn: “anyways, did you want to see what you look like?”
SCP 8610-2-U1: “sure”
goes over to the mirror and looks at their reflection
“this is actually a miwwow, wight?”
Dawn: “Yep, tin amalgam painted onto a sheet of glass, too!”

it looked like someone sucking in their gut and exhaling as much as they can at the same time, but if the person didn’t have intestines or lungs ↩︎
are the cat analogues of the biosphere scp 8610 originates from like a combination of axolotls and cats? they’re likely semiaquatic at the very least, since these gills seem to only be programmed to fall off in response to pain and toxic waters. in the latter case, however, only the hairs fall off, not the branches. ↩︎
did i forget to mention its tail was already fully developed by the time it was getting rid of the water in its abdominothoracic cavity? ↩︎
surprisingly, it seems to have not grown back the bottom two sets of ribs, whether this is to increase flexibility or remove bones that are just a liability in a fight has not yet been determined ↩︎
since the arm looked similar to mine, i suspect it was from dr. willow testing whether or not the quantum entanglement caused by infecting a disembodied brain with scp 8610 while it’s still alive extends to those who were already infected with SCP 8610, and dr. willow had a distinct lack of a whole left arm for about a week afterwards, and only a week of healing time for an injury that big is rather impressive ↩︎
i didn’t put any on them when i noticed they had all their skin for the same reason you shouldn’t leave clothes in the washer overnight ↩︎
i honestly expected it to take way longer than half an hour, since they just finished growing an entire new body, and, based on the date that was on the jar, hadn’t had one in about 15 years by the time they started growing a new body. ↩︎
U stands for unknown, which means we don’t know their name ↩︎
He shall scream, for it will enslave all catgirls!
Why would the axolotl enslave the catgirls?
competition, of course.
Because it is the right thing to do, the lot of you convinced me of that.
send twis fella to therapy asap. I know we’re all tawking turns with the psychiatrist, but whoever this pewson is needs it much more than we do. I would also like to poiwt out that quawtum entanglement between those infected with 8610 has only been obserwed so far when 1- The orgawism is divided into two halves (like a plateminth worm) and 2- when the bwain is separated from the organism and both parts are maintained alive.
//unrelated but my god how did you wrote such a delightful, good, detailed and grostesque medical analysis of this phenomenon? i think i learned more about human anatomy reading this than i ever did. just belgium congratulations
based on how they said that the venom completely shuts down everything but your nervous system, theiw body was disposed of long ago, but yeah, already way ahead of you on that.
i guess i’ve just got a weird combination of talent, knowledge, and inability to be disturbed by anything while looking at things from a purely medical standpoint. anyways, thanks
Do you catgirls want to escape the facility or for now stay in it?
Yep. mainly due to the lack of suwlight, and consequently, vitamin D. that’s why we placed several UV lamps twroughout the west wing. I pewsonally don’t like these very much and pwefer my personal fusion reawctor.
How many defenses are preventing you from escaping?
