Today I learned that the largest waterfall in the world is under water. In the ocean.
Today I learned that the two hemispheres of the brain can function independently when separated.
Iโve known that for a while now (I found the same video). Kinda weird when you think about it. Science actually suggests that the two hemispheres are more like the โI knowโ and โI want to knowโ halves of the brain (With the latter being mute on itโs own) instead of the โcreativeโ and โanalyticalโ.

TIL chainsaws were originally invented to help with childbirth by cutting out a part of a womanโs pelvic bone.
It was also invented in Scotland, of course

TIL the first city to reach a population of 100000 was Baghdad in the 800s/early 900s. it dropped below 1 million though. the second city was Beijing, in the 1800s. thats a 1000 year gap. im confused.
