Toxin defense

so we all know that toxin is used for offense and used for shooting at some cells as if it were a war without gemeva conventions, but there has been many times where a cell sneaks up from behind a cell and kills it, so my idea is to give the cells an ability to radially excrete toxins for a more defensive manner (tradeoff could be less range or something)

Perhaps if an organism had more than one Toxisome/Toxic Vacuole, it could shoot in different directions, with the number of directions depending on the number of Toxisomes/Toxic Vacuoles?

I mean toxins already deal damage when a cell with them is engulfed so :person_shrugging:

You know when in multicellular, you DON’T want your cells to die, so engulfing them won’t really be a good idea (the attacker)

That’s why you should eject any engulfed toxics unless your cells are on full HP and you’re a double membrane

Wait so from what I read you say that to defend against attackers from the back (multicellular), that I have to engulf the attacker and then eject them?

Well you can also make your own toxins to deal with em attackers if you want to

And having pili to deflect toxins.

Yeah but the problem is that toxins only shoot to the front, so that’s why I suggested an AOE attack (or atleast tried to) for cases like that

Once you get actomyosin and many cells with it it becomes rather easy to turn around…
