the man who shot her is currently making over half a million from a gofundme to “cover his legal fees” which is in fact against gofundme’s terms of service (you can’t ask for legal support about a violent crime). I reported it and so did thousands of others but yk it’s not been removed yet. in our current political climate you can get canceled for saying the n word and make bank, you can shoot an innocent woman and make bank, and if you try to make the world a better place you risk getting shot in the head (not a hypothetical ICE blinded a peaceful protester permanently in addition to killing Good).

and I’d bet whoever made the calls that led to this is in a cushy government job making more than half a million.

Seriously, why didn’t ICE agents have bodycams like the police does? I mean, I don’t think it’s that expensive if normal police force can afford it…

because then they could be held accountable. They break laws all the time, a DHS warrant is not actually enough to search a home, they lie and present them as regular warrents all the time, and have been doing so for years. They arrest and try to deport citizens, and it has worked. This is the same reason police turn off their body cams, cover them, point them away, etc.
