[Videos] The Worst Humanity Has to Offer

Is the AI bubble already as bad for the environment as the crypto mining has been, in a fraction of the laterโ€™s time?

Has Crypto and AI joined forces yet?

Of course they did as grifts tend to do

Theyโ€™ve removed the โ€œis crazyโ€ in videos now, itโ€™s just The ______ Situation

remember morals always comes before science

The clickbait evolves as the audience gets resistant to the old methods

It would not be surprising if the older clickbait methods return eventually when the audience has forgotten about them.

And so the cycle makes a circle like an ouroborosโ€ฆ

iirc didnโ€™t the trend in the first place have a large part to do with how more nutrition = more intelligence generally?

This experiment makes me wonder what interacting with humanity in its โ€˜wildโ€™ state 300-50k years ago would be like.

Would they behave like anything from today, or even the middle ages?

Or would they simply behave like smart yet โ€˜savageโ€™ animals?

Donโ€™t H-G tribes still exist now that unravel this question?

I donโ€™t really count them considering every tribe today has had some form of contact with an agricultural civilization at one point.

North Sentinel could be the closest then, though iirc the british contact likely made them be like what theyโ€™re known for now

this doesnโ€™t even deserve the pathetic gif

This is disgusting!
I hope AI does not follow a dark pathโ€ฆ

It already IS the dark path

in ukrainian the pronunciation ends with an ah sound instead of a neh sound. international abbreviations are usually based on the local languages, e.g. DE for germany

remember nfts?

No. we have lots of evidence of ancient peoples practicing surgery and caring for sick or disabled members of the tribe, as well as complex ritual and high amounts of skill with various crafting methods like leatherworking and knapping. Theyโ€™d be people with all the complexity that implies, perhaps multilingual craftsman-hunters, as many north american nomadic peoples were to connect the vast continents more resource rich agrarian peoples and coasts. Many north american natives picked up european languages WAY faster than the other way around, you might look stupid in comparison. Then again, hunter gatherers without the childhood growing up with abstract mathematical thinking, might be garbage at math or complex logical deduction about abstract systems. We dont know. ADDITIONALLY: nutrition of poor farmers is substantially worse than that of hunter gatherers. Growing a mere few plants and eating little but fish in terms of meat is the most economical, but it produces stunted idiots compared to a varied diet. Certainly better than a hunter gatherer in a lean year missing many nutrients, but farms have lean years too and historically plenty of people starved. Varried diets covering all food groups that arent full of flour with sand in it or something is pretty recent, discounting all the nomadic peoples who crossed into areas with different foods in them.

Ai will be forgotten in a few years time just like these mostly were.

no. Ai is the same class of thing, a hype based capitalist way to extract money based more around sound bites than product, but unlike NFTs or the metaverse, there is a real product worth making. Iโ€™ll bet the AI crash will make GPU compute renting DIRT CHEAP and intelligent searching of documents will eventually get figured out (not yet, all products claiming to do so suck), and maybe even this will teach us a lot about language and memory. thats assuming the industry utterly crashs, if it sticks around at all AI tools will stay with us, they just wont be forced on us, and it will likely take government intervention to get rid of deepfakes for example, (though that gives governm, ents exclusive access to thejmโ€ฆ)
