Viruses?

There are two big problems with what you are suggesting.

  1. Currently, it is not planned for Microscopic/Multicellular and Macroscopic+ creatures to be able to interact. This is partially for game performance reasons, and partially because having a smooth enough transition for that to work would add years to development time and hours to playing time, and most believe this is not worth it. Though you are certainly not the first to want to play as a microscopic organism in an AI macroscopic world. There is also talk in several places about playing as an internal parasite. Macroscopically, this seems plausible, but it will likely take someone pretty dedicated to program microscopic/macroscopic interaction.
  2. The other problem is the strong opinion that fist place is the only meaningful thing and that being passed by the AI should result in an immediate game over. I will never understand the over competitiveness of some people. I personally am a supporter of playing in a world where the AI has passed you up, in which you can try to overcome the hardships of being an Aware creature in an AI’s Space stage world, and made a post arguing for it here, but that would not fix problem 1.

Finally, some progress.

Multicellular is halfway done. It has some glitches and needs a few more features added, most notably competition and a reason to specialize and organize your cells, but is decently playable now.

Also, welcome to the forum, @Magiccat.
