Not certain. The biome also disappears after a while.
I think it is closer to 1 or 2 %. The exact number will be visible in the map generator code.
Did you happen to find a world with multiple banana biomes active at the same time?
If I remember right the Easter Egg code can add at most one banana biome per entire world.
Is the case the same for other easter-eggs? That they can only happen once?
@Animalia created a world with a shallow ocean surrounded by land.
I wonder if there are similar World Seeds and Planet Customization Conditions that makes this kind of world with a Banana Biome?
Isnβt it supposed to be an easter egg and not something you can control?
This includes 0.8.3.0 seeds. I donβt know yet if this is still the case for 0.9.0.0. I donβt think changing the abundance of compounds in the new version of the Planet Customization Settings will have an effect on this. I am not 100% sure if changing Temperature, Ocean Size, and Geologic Activity settings has an effect on Banana Biome generation.
Isnβt the bb spawning 100% random outside that it needs to have been coastal?
The banana biome spawning is derived from the world seed, as is a lot of aspects of the world. So changing any of the world parameters could make it so that a seed that had a banana biome in it, no longer does.
This looks more like a small ice planet rather than an ocean world?
True water worlds are yet to be added to my belief. But I mean ocean world in the sense of the lack of land patches.
Hereβs a world without any pelagic patches
I think with the way the patch generator works currently some patches might be required to show up (probably tidepool and vents since they host life emergence locations).
True but I think an ocean world could be made fairly easily. (That being said, do we know when weβll be able to directly edit our planet instead of mashing the generate button?)
I think a direct planet editor could be added perhaps at the conclusion of the evo stages development but it could happen earlier if some developer is really invested into the idea
I wonder how many small world seeds are broken for 0.9.2.0? Like this world seedβ¦
0.9.2.0-16-patch-three-ocean-groups-one-land-group-error world seed: 8399049096967206185
What do you think of this world?
Thatβs (#2) going to be a very oxygenated world I can Imagine
As soon as the compounds in the water dilute I doubt thereβs going to be anything on the sea floor. Whichβll lock anything living in the vents because if they try to migrate out they instantly starve. So its essentially just a race to the tide pools.
