You design life and a system

How many planets and major moons do you think you’ll allow at the maximum to decrease the amount of time spent on the polling?

I think it’s 10 planets, and 7 major moons as we can disregard the minor moons.

major moons are in your words spherical ones, yes?

No, major moons are moons that are larger and interesting and noteworthy compared to all moons within a gas giant’s system, such as Ganymede which is the only documented moon to have a magnetosphere, and Titan which has a substantial atmsophere and Io which is volcanic and experiences tidal heating.

Will we have a Gas planet/mini-Neptune moon around a Gas Giant planet?

Well, you can have that as an option.

There is a real-life example of this.

It’s not 100% confirmed to my knowledge.

This, and

need more observations to confirm the gas moons around the gas giant planets.

The fact that we might have even found moons like this is still crazy!

Would they still count as moons or binary planets by that point?

Most likely to determine that, we would have look at the mass distribution and the location of the barycenter.

We could make good guesses once we learn enough about the objects…

So, it seems that a red dwarf would be the second star of the system.
We’ve now completed the star system part, we’ll now make planets. And it’s a poll on how many planets there will be.

Is this for the orange dwarf one or both of the systems?

For both stars. (also I forgot to make another poll regarding the distance between stars but it’s okay)

Does voting for less planets mean they will bigger, or just that there will be larger a distance between planets?

I recall it’s possible to create a poll where you can choose numbers and once the poll closes it will show the average of the chosen number options as the “result”.

From Discourse Creating and managing polls - Using Discourse - Discourse Meta . . .

To show advanced options press the :gear: icon. This will show you different poll options such as if the poll auto closes, set groups allowed to vote, choose bar or pie, etc.

Poll options

Poll type:

  • Single Choice: Default poll type. Users can select a single choice from the poll
  • Multiple Choice: Users can select multiple choices from the poll.
    • The poll creator must also define the minimum and maximum number of choices a user can make. By default the minimum will be 1, and the maximum will be the number of poll choices.
  • Number Rating: Users can select a single number.
    • The poll creator must also define the min, max and step for the number rating. For example, if the min is 2, the max is 10, and the step is 2, the options will be 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10.

The vote for the star distance will still be held, right?

Yes, it’ll still be held.
