I think I’ve encountered the bug where you can’t duplicate celltypes when low on MP?

thats a bug??? i though that was a feature to make players more efficient with MP

I am pretty sure it was at least originally reported as a bug but I can’t seem to find a reliable bug report for it rn

Also playing multicellular I’ve noticed the multicellular organisms… aren’t exactly very good at surviving and not starving

Edit: I got this unhandled error show up:

Summary

An Unhandled Error Happened - The game has run into an unhandled error. It may be possible to continue, but the errors may get worse. The safest option is to fully restart the game and load the latest save. It may be possible to make a save now.
If you report this error, please use the button to copy the error and include that in your report.

Edit2: It appears I came across a member of a different species which is shooting gametes at me???

I cannot update the launcher when starting Thrive.

Even though I close the launcher, when I start Thrive again, I get the same pop up during “Choose Install Location”. I will try downloading it manually to see it if works that way.

Anyone else encountered ghost cells of multicellular organisms?

Unfortunately, manually downloading the launcher did not solve the problem.

If you cannot use the launcher atm you can directly download the version files instead, here:

I would I need to unzip the files before putting them into Thrive, or will Thrive automatically unzip the gamefile?

You can use 7zip unzipper or sth similar to unzip the zip files from the releases repository

I first tried deleting excess computer cache, and that did not work. After rebooting my computer, which is advised in the Thrive launcher installer, I was able to finally install the launcher and get the latest update!

In this thrivesave if you follow the other multicellular organism to the right and use engulf on it, with the big cells of the multicellular organism you control, you can observe ghost cells being created

I don’t remember any fix trying to be attempted on this.

The issue is still open:

This is one of those random Godot Engine errors.

Fully grown colonies just shoot gametes forward whenever they are ready.

It’s probably open in the background. So rebooting your computer likely helps.
