Cutting corners: get to space without exploring the whole map, developing farming, or economies of scale.
The conspiracy theorists will love this: play as extra large humanoids named nephilim in caverns until another species evolves with inteligence on the surface and somehow not get noticed by them for a meaningful period of time.
The flat earthers will love this: somehow discover that you live on a flat planet. It’s kind of a cheap shot if you just make a planet like that in ascended and play your next game on it but it counts.
5-d chess with multiverse time travel: develop time travel and use it to make games weirder for entertainment purposes until it’s so confusing for people with normal 3.5-d brains that a classic game just goes out of style and is completely forgotten except by the five undergrads who got brain modifications to have a basic idea of what the hell is going on in the game.
Edit: 5-d chess with multiverse time travel is a real game. It’s not really worth the 12 dollars, unless you value true confusion as much as I do.
