Will they be determined by a dice every round? Or only every few rounds?

Every 10 rounds, there will be something big. I will decide what that something is with a spinner.

Will the spinner only determine the severity or only the type of event or both?
JustaDumbThriver

Both. There will be a spinner determining if:
Nothing happens
An asteroid impacts
A volcano erupts
The sun gets brighter
or, a Supernova happens.
There will be a spinner on how severe the event will be. Of course, if the first wheel lands on โnothing happens,โ I wonโt spin it. Hereโs the list:
Mild
Moderate
Severe

What will be the damage done by โsevereโ?

Lots of damage. Mass extinction levels, maybe.

What if all our species become a part of the past due to such an event?

The wheel will prefer AI organisms over your organisms to kill.

What if it kills both nevertheless?

By the time the wheel could kill a beginning-of-the-game level of biodiversity, there will be a LOT of species for the wheel to kill. So much that the wheel may not kill them all.

I see. So the events may only kill a finite amount of species even if all of them arenโt suited for surviving the eventโs conditions?

52
Yeah. Of course, Iโm being slightly optimistic. Who knows? Maybe random chance and gambling could kill all non-AI species! In case you get your species wiped out by a mass extinction, you can pick an AI species a generation apart from you. If all species descended from your ancestors a generation ago die, then I geuss your species just was not fit enough.

How do you determine how AI species split off from player species?

I have 2 AI species split off, and randomly determine their mutations.

How do they look like? Same as the base species?

They will look a bit different.

So itโll only be revealed once new players join in?
JustaDumbThriver
(He who has the IQ of a half-eaten Wendy's Baconator(tm))

No, AI species will be revealed when created. Also, for the sake of my own sanity, an AI species can have only one descendant in the next generation.
