Who really knows at the present? I think probably “soon” though.

I think they are still debating what the new goal will be, and iirc most of the suggestions each involved 2 or more mechanics not yet implemented. Adding to that AI improvements, along with further polishing to the Microbe Stage, maybe Summer? Depending on whether or not the suggestions of using Reproduction as one of the requirements gets used, they may end up over a third done with Multicellular just implementing the new mechanics for reaching Macroscopic, once they definitively decide what that will be.

How much of the multicellular development effort do you think will be directed at the autoevo aspects?

If miches are included in that, I am guessing over a sixth. Maybe even closer to a fifth. The feature that will probably take the longest is the plan to implement 3 new reproduction types (assuming the plan is still to have 2 Asexual and 2 Sexual).

Do we know what the new 3 are supposed to be? I can guess regular sexual with gametes is on the agenda, but besides that…?

I don’t believe any decisions have been made on that front yet.

I suppose there will still be some time to discuss that after the more important stuff is done first

Perhaps SA/V ratio and Size? :person_shrugging:

If it was to be added to multi would microbe also finally obtain it?

It is my understanding that no, microbe would not get that. I think it would require extra programming and balancing that is currently believed to not be worth it for what it would actually bring to that stage.

Hm. I suppose the SA/V for microbe is shelved now then much like multiplayer for instance

Hopefully, there won’t be any game-breaking exploits in this new system. Would it matter if a cell with a lot of anoxic parts is placed on the outter edges of a Multicellular organism compared to being on the inside of a Multicellular organism, where it should be theoretically safer for an anoxic cell to exist?

Here’s a question, if there’s a hole in the organism, does that count as a place where such an anoxic cell would get a debuff?

I think that depends on whether or not it is counted as a hollow enclosed space “inside” the organism.

I meant an enclosed space. Since the organism is flat I’d think it would count as a place with potentially more oxygen within.

Because of this, cells on the outer regions should get more ready access to Glucose and resources.

What would holes in organisms actually translate to in macroscopic?

If current Macroscopic is anything to go by, organisms with holes look like either doughnuts or Swiss-cheese.

Maybe these would transform into body cavities?

Most likely that is the case.
