Lore

A few million years after the events of Pikmin 3 (Pikmin 4 is an alternate timeline), the Onions began to change. They are still recognizable considering where their previous evolution point was, but something is different. The power of evolution molded them… Some are on their way to an unrecognizable form.

The original onion

Lillium pikminporta amorphea, or the onion, is what you will evolve from. It has 9 pikmin types it can spew out. The red pikmin are resistant to fire. The blue pikmin have specialized gills for breathing underwater. Yellow pikmin have electricity resistance, purples are strong, white pikmin are poison-immune, rocks are great wall-breakers, fly pikmin… fly over everything, ices freeze stuff, and then the blobs. Blob pikmin are… blobby. They like to cluster up into bunches. They can stick to enemies, and not fall off when the enemies attempt to shake them off, unlike other pikmin, and can absorb other pikmin into their clusters to protect them. They are very weak, though. The max amount of non-blob pikmin in a blob pikmin cluster is the a tenth of the blob pikmin in the cluster. Oh, and wanna see what they look like?

They are the smallest pikmin, only around half the size of a red pikmin. They carry things in their clusters. The cluster’s strength is determined by how many blob pikmin are inside. For example, a cluster of size 20 has a strength of 20. All pikmin have a strength of one, except purple pikmin, which have a strength of ten.

Rules

Every round, you will say a mutation to your pikmin blob. And yes, blob pikmin are the center of this FG. For example:
The pikmin blob size increases to 15 from 10.
You can increase your blob size by 50% every round. Any more and I will not accept it. You can also make new pikmin types from blob pikmin. Like, say, evolving “brain pikmin” that… act as brains.

It’s dandori-ing time! But don’t get eaten by Louie.

What will be the timestep of a round?

A new pikmin type evolves - the Stink Pikmin. Stink Pikmin evolved to emit fumes that severely burn the eyes of predators and makes them cry and unable to see properly, just like an actual onion. Stink Pikmin also look more round and have a brown patterned outer skin that looks like an onion, too.

I think we need 3 players for the FG to start, so 1 is still missing…

The Stink Pikmin is still my idea, though.

And it’ll be ratified once the last person joins this FG…

White also can see objects underground and while poison immune are poisonus themselves as enemies, such as bulborbs amongst them die from eating them. (Love white pikmin)

Btw JaDT, how did you come up with this FG’s name?

A round lasts a million years. And I came up with the name from what Pikmin 4 uses to describe managing pikmin, dandori. What’s your mutation?

Alright! Onion species name?

Pikmin Assecula will be a parasitic offshoot of the blob pikmin, which gets inside the bodies of it’s enemies and replicates en masse when ready. It’s transparent in color and considerably smaller than the regular blob-pikmin.

Now why is that… familiar?

I’m not exactly familiar with the pikmin series, so what is that fellow?

A parasitic species of pikmin which infect bulborbs the top predator of the world, infecting Adults and young which follow a old bulborb pikmin in a conga line, They’re seen only underground in caves in Pikmin 2 only, like shroom pikmin in the first pikmin unlike the rest of the pikmin in the series which do reappear in the other entries even if rare

Well, I’m interesting in taking the parasites further than just a single species…

Bulborbs are a very and I mean very diverse family

Are there other diverse families in the pikmin world beyond them?

The breadbugs, the blowhogs, etc.
One of the breadbugs, the dwarf bulborb, mimics juvenile… bulborbs.

I guess soon enough the parasite will grasp for these too.

breadbugs are close relatives if I am not mistaken, but they’re not part of the bulborb family yeah

There’s some but most games introduce a few of their families and not past that, though there’s like a bird family I which not super diverse has like four variants and there’s the daddy long legs

I see. More ways of reaching far lands I suppose.
