I think it would be really interesting to add an option in the settings to activate either Education or Science mode. Science mode strips out most of the gamy handwaving at a performance risk as well as anything not observable in the real world (like thermoplasts), while eduction mode does the same, but all adds tooltips and popups to help you learn interesting things about biology.
In science mode, I would argue that calling it ‘science’ mode and yet excluding things that are non-LAWK would not be correct, just because we haven’t seen it appear in our universe doesn’t mean it couldn’t exist
Anyway LAWK (life as we know it) and Non-Lawk will already be toggles
