Galaxy Generation

What if it only loads the galaxy’s as a single entity until you zoom in, and then only loads the stars you can see, and if you zoom in even further it will only load that star and the planets around it with a stock background to look like the galaxy. It could also only generate the stars/star systems when you zoom in to save space. that way you can gave 20 or 30 galaxies without destroying your computer in the process.
