not a big boost, but usually one worker ready and randomize rock type to mine ( in my side I have lime, Slate and Migmatite that have some different effect base on they rl hardns. some of the augment add some stuff, so they are inculed of relevents

The vast majority of materials are consumable (to give a little more strategic depth) but at the same time - it will not run out in one day. Even if you have a lot more ticks it does not mean that it will run out quickly if you do not create pressure on the resource itself.
They can be divided into three parts - external, internal and mystical.
External - organic, solar, volcanic or incredibly common sources of materials (organic, water, stones)
Internal - minerals, metals, fuel and consumable resources (iron, quartz, oil and coal)
Mystic - mana, arcana, cosmic and oboros (souls, magic and foreign materials)
Almost without exception - all are limited, but some parts are so huge that they behave as renewable while others are rare or difficult to produce.
