yuyi was banned because a 9-year-old Actively using an account means that said account should be banned

Should we split the iceberg into a Thrive iceberg and Thrive Community Forums iceberg?

Resons for:

#1 Currently, a lot of entries are highly forum-specific and have relatively little to do with Thrive itself.
#2 Because of #1, the iceberg is likely extremely confusing to non-forum community members.
#3 If we were to start collaborating on the iceberg with other parts of the community, it would likely quickly get extremely cluttered.

Resons against:

#1 Two icebergs may be harder to manage.
#2 It’ll take additional work to decide which entries should go into which iceberg.
#3 Just a game-focused iceberg may feel stale and boring.

.

So, should the iceberg be split into two separate icebergs?
  • Yay
  • Nay
  • We should discuss alternative approaches

I voted for yes, because I got the feeling from the previous icebergs that they were almost entirely about the Thrive community forums rather than Thrive itself. I mean it’s fine to have some community stuff on the iceberg, but that should all be considered very arcane knowledge when compared against the average Thrive player.

Okay, given the recent referendum has finished, let’s check the results and determine what they mean for the future of the iceberg:

In total, 19 users have voted:

  • 94.7% (18 users) have voted in favor of splitting the iceberg.
  • 05.3% (1 user) have voted against splitting the iceberg.
  • 00.0% (0 users) think that we should discuss alternative approaches.

To summarise, an overwhelming majority of users express approval for the splitting of the iceberg, with very little opposing the idea. None of the users think that alternative approaches to the issue need to be discussed. I think these results are enough to serve as our final decision on what to do with the current iceberg, and we should move on to decide which entries go where.
