Life in the FG first needs to mutate proper Pressure and Temperature tolerances to do that (unless all players vote in a poll to mutate them).

If the organism in question is alone, I simply play the game as if my species is the only organism there, ignoring other organisms made by Auto-Evo. If there is interaction, I first have to play as one species, then go to the next turn to play against that species for species interactions. It takes a while, since Auto-Evo does not necessary mutate things the way you want them to. I also adjust Oxygen tolerances, since they will not be the same due to different organelles than what is in the game.
And how do you wipe species off with meteors?
I simply reload the permanent save.

A lot. At least 6-10 times.
And in the “worse” cases?
An even longer time. Maybe 10-20?
