If I recall what I wrote correctly, there is a 10% chance that a virus particle will infect an individual organisms. But there is a small chance that the individual organismm is actually immune. Also, viruses may evolve from your organisms, but only a small chance of that happening.

I also wonder what doomlightning will choose?

I hope I can get Turn 20 in before 0.9.1.0 releases…

Viruses can only evolve from the smallest organisms (1 hex). Instead of deleting not doing anything in that situation, instead the mutated organism might become a virus.

If someone evolves Chitin, Cellulose, Calcium Carbonate, or Silicate, then sure. Maybe if an infectible organism with Pilus is infected, it could use the infected organism to inject itself into those organisms?
