It will change all of the biomes for a long time, right? I think 600 million years (6 regular game turns).

Yes but after it’s done it should revert the biomes to the state they were in prior to the glaciation. That being said I suppose you could use such a long timeframe under ice to argue that the tectonics would’ve shifted the landmasses into new shapes by the time the ice retreated.

This the idea I had in my mind, but I was blanking on how to say it.

And I suppose if the seed change happens when there is no ice age around, you could just say enough time has passed for the tectonics to affect the simpler microbe patchmap?

According to best estimates, at least Earthwise, Plate tectonics may have started 3 billion years ago. So it is way too early for Plate Tectonics, unless there is an insane amount of radioactive elements incorporated into the planet to help start it at this point of time.

Huh, thought it started not long after the crust solidified. I wonder how will this be handled in the real game…

Geologist still don’t know exactly when Plate Tectonics may have started, due to the process destroying evidence of very early crust.

Continuing the endosymbiosis.

I wonder how many rounds will pass before the first eukaryote emerges…

It is one thing to evolve (“add”) a nucleus. It is another to be viable and survive with a nucleus.

Exactly, though getting a nucleus is rare for autoevo nevertheless.

I gotta check the balance of the ammonia lad to see if they can endure that.

You mean getting a nucleus? It’d be kind of crazy to see eukaryotic life so early into a planet’s history…

Since I am playing on Hard Mode with Passive Reproduction turned off, a sessile-behavioral organism cannot gather Ammonia and Phosphate for reproducing in my FG at the moment. When 0.8.2.0(+) comes around, this may change.

Yeah, as not having passive reproduction is an option being phased out…

Will the option be brought back? Or will it be gone forever?

I don’t see why would it be readded after getting removed.

Would it be easy to change the game code to make it togglable again?

Don’t know. Are you willing to actually mod the game for the sake of this FG?

Well I think that’s good for ammmonia lad to produce its own needed ammonia then

Also what did you do to the thyakloid for pteroshiden again?
