Will meteors just have a random chance to strike any surface patch?

10% chance to hit a patch. Only one patch will be hit at once, since I don’t want everything to instantly go extinct. Also, yes, I will randomly determine which patch will be hit.

Imagine if it just randomly happens to hit the tidepool before any of us could’ve moved beyond it…
