Just one comment though. Since this is multicellular, I don’t think it makes sense not to increase our size. You see, in reality, many species became larger overtime. If we had the size of an ant, we wouldn’t go very far because it would take more time to build machines like a computer. It would also be extremely dangerous to start a fire because we would die right away if we’re too close. We, humans, are lucky to be tall. The game shouldn’t discourage the player to increase its size.
size is a slow process and requires a lot of energy thanks to the square cube law. so unless you can get enough energy then its not worth it.
also id like to join if I can.
I dont know if there are people a head of me or not but heres my species just in case
Yes, thanks for reminding me. I returned about a week ago and am giving myself around 1-2 weeks ( from that day, so about a week left at this point) to settle in and get back up to speed with development. Once done I will pick back up with the Auto-Evo project.
I will first have to finish the overhaul of the code that I had started. I kept all my notes so I didn’t lose any progress on that. Once the overhaul is done we can do the next round.
Everything that I discussed in my latest posts on this thread, and the original Auto-Evo thread, before my absence. That whole predation calculation overhaul, as well as all the associated bugfixes, and a little bit of automation, is what it is.
Just a sidenote for your work on the forums @NickTheNick, it’s now possible to write math equations on the forums. So if someone wants to know the math behind the algorithm, you can use:
