It might, but that depends how far it stretches. My plan is for the current area to be a (large) island, and for their to be smaller ones nearby. But that might change.

Your species spread to patches where they can live automatically. However, you need certain mutations to inhabit certain patches. See the “patches” section of the rules to see what mutations you need for each patch. See the “mutations” section of your creature to see what mutations you have. Everyone has the Temperate climate resistance mutation.

Right just asking cause looking at forest the ever so slightly confusing as non climbing creatures does exist there in the underlitte.

Used wrong word it’s forest floor but it’s the area beneath trees where in forests and jungles to small extent smaller plant life survive, usually ferns and broad leafs rather than grass in comparison to the canopy of the trees.

Oh, like leaf litter. It doesn’t make that much sense to need climbing, but I have to balance it somehow.

Alright understandable but can one enter forests if a creature has a long enough neck? Or still just tree climbing. But thank you for your time otherwise.

Good point, if you upgrade a longer neck again next round, then you could probably reach the trees, and inhabit the forest.

That’d be a really long neck for a dog-sized creature…

Actually, the Greater Ompard is Large size, which is about the size of a donkey. But still a large neck compared to body size.

There has to be a limit as to just how long a neck can get, right?

Likely otherwise we have this abomination who has more neck then body (well girraffs exist but I mean more extreme) lol

Also can a species have multiple “environment adaptations” at the same time (so for instance both cold and hot tolerance)?

Yes, as it allows you to spread to more patches, and gain more food. Which will be needed soon.

I’m actually surprised that only 1 creature has spread to a new patch. I would of expected 2 or 3.
