Ah. To me that isn’t a really name for anything so it doesn’t really make sense to me to make an abbreviation for it. And talking about agent rework or toxin customization is already short enough and understandable even without the full context so I prefer those terms.
soon enough i’ll have to make an updated version of the society stage in microbe stage picture…
A microbe city will you make?
with “agriculture” and a militia, perhaps.
By agriculture you mean creating plant cell livestock?
Also, how are you going to build a rocket and then an ascension gate?
time will tell
Are you building a city out of chunks or different cell types in a multicellular organism?
I remember seeing a picture somewhere of a bunch of microbes being attracted to the player’s cell and forming a symbiotic relationship of sorts. Do you mean something like this? I think that would be really cool, literally farming other microbes.
yeah i was planning for houses to be made out of iron, farming microbes, etc.
Will you also try to domesticate some of these microbes so for instance you can use them to move fast like a microbe horse?
yes.
itll be interesting to see what has happened to thrive in a year.
Release 0.6.7 Milestone · GitHub 88% done as of writing this! what features are everyone excited for
Personally I’m happy photosynthetic gameplay with the day/night cycle being balanced, as that’s what most of my playthroughs are
Edit: Nigel, how’s your microbe civilization going?
The milestone is 88% done as I threw out everything that is not getting done, which is what I always do just before a release. There’s a bunch of issues that hang around in the milestones (currently put in 0.6.8) but no one volunteers to do for a really long time. So I then eventually throw things back out to the backlog where stuff hangs around for years and years hoping that someone would be interested in working on them.
I have a big apatite, haha.
That is what the player cell says after it turns an entire chunk into mist.
