I think it’s fitting for 1.0.0’s devblog to get such an even number anyways.

Also it seems like the panspermia cutscene in the roadmap isn’t crossed out yet

I just checked and the roadmap correctly has the panspermia cutscene crossed out but the warm pond cutscene is not (as we are still missing it).

Seems like it has been updated sometime after I checked on it then.

Speaking of how long did it take to make the panspermia cutscene? Pretty sure these things take a while to make so it could be there isn’t enough time to make one for the warm pond start, unless it’s already WIP.

Eventually, will the original vents cutscene need to be updated?

Why so? I did notice it seems to be zoomed in a bit more than it used to perhaps but it isn’t broken or anything and still looks good.

I am not saying it has to be. I also like the vents intro. It just seems to be a recent trend to “update” everything nowadays, even when it is not absolutely necessary.

I do hope the cilia introduction for autoevo may finally bring an end to the age where eukaryotes are always the second to prokaryotes when it comes to dominating the biosphere.

I am nearly 100% sure I can have prokaryotes en eukaryotes co-exist by using one of a number of different measures to split up miches.

The only thing holding that back is in my opinion concerns about auto-evo performance (we really don’t want people to sit waiting at their computer for 5 minutes every time they reproduce).

I hope we could do find a compromise that allows both small amount of time and such species diversity to exist together…

If Auto-Evo takes too long, would implementing a mini-game to occupy the time work to keep Players engaged?

I am not sure it’s worth the development time unless there is no way to prevent this extra long autoevo from occurring

Isn’t that half the point of tips and stories? To fill the waiting time. Also of course, tips are useful and stories are entertaining, but they are usually inserting into loading screens.

They are an order of magnitude easier to implement than a full minigame pretty sure though
