I wonder how many people will participate in this one?

I think perhaps not much less than in the previous two art contests

So this batch of features has been integrated now, nice.

I do wonder when will we get a release date for the 1.0.1 patch…

Oh, do we still have unoxygenated world startup in Microbe Freebuild?

Yes? It only said oxygenation was for the multicellular variant

So this a patch and not an actual update? Wouldn’t the the patch have been 1.0.0.1, rather than 1.0.1.0?

Yeah update is a better term here

Hopefully we don’t get to using the term β€œdrop”…

Oh, no… Don’t make this like the Minecraft update naming scheme all over again…

Fortunately we have more important matters to solve

I wonder if we’ll get even larger particles (chunks, snowflakes, etc) for multicellular…

Perhaps these theoretical larger chunks could also be seen in Microbe?

if anything, yeah, little reason to not have these before multicellular.

It will be awesome to hear the new Multicellular tracks in-game!

So it took a month to take care of the holiday fallout

The timeline isn’t exactly that, but basically it took as long as my break was for all the pending items to be done…

So not exactly great in terms of development velocity.

I wrote as a joke that maybe in the future everything will be ignored during my break and if people actually care about something, they have to say it again after my break. That way I’m not stuck catching up with stuff for weeks after a break.

Of course the important question is how you feel about the importance of the things you were catching up on versus the importance of what you could have worked on instead. I know that some bugs to be fixed are unfortunately unavoidable. It’s a different matter if there are things you think were a waste of time!

Pretty sure for many holiday season is one of the few times they can work on the project for longer strides of time, so we can’t really expect them to just abandon this opportunity
