So I presume it also has a limit to how far you can move the cells from their original positions in the raw layout or else you could use the manual layout editor to move around your cells a lot at no cost
Thatβs what the restrictions mentioned in the post are for.
Do we know if Hhyyrylainen will be more active this coming week?
Yes, this week was just a few days off.
Good to hear that, as we slowly and steadily inch ever closer not just to the 1.7 deadline but the end of multicellular development era aswell, which shortening timeperiods needs the most effort put inβ¦
I am going to ask it here since it somewhat has to do with Progress Updates, but what update will the new Multicellular requirement and Macroscopic requirement get added? (if it even was decided)
I feel like it wonβt be in 1.7 yet, probably in one of the updates leading up to 2.0.0?
Thereβs nothing on this, beyond whatβs on the roadmap.
Thereβs also no firm decision on changing the Multicellular requirement, I should note.
So it could simply stay at the 20 cell requirement, huh
I would have hoped for the multicellular to not be barred from development after 2.0.0 as Hhyyrylainen seems to have said but I guess weβll have to live with some of its features being perhaps subpar
The link for the is not showing up for me. I can still access by going to the website
I donβt this rathal linked it in the post at all though?
Oh strange, I donβt think it had a hyperlink the first time I read that post
It is strange that I can still interact with βroadmapβ.
Wait⦠Is it because no actual link was put inside the () portion of pasting a link?

Maybe rathal forgot to press ctrl v when making the hl idk
Was broken for some reason. Seems fine now after editing.
I am not sure thereβll be that many items crossed out by 1.7 in the map tbhβ¦
I meant the one where you need 5 cells to enter the multicellular stage, as i really like the idea of βupgradingβ the binding agent when you are connected with cells for 1 minute (the one where you can only connect with 1 cell, then 2 next generation, all the way to the fifth cell where you an then enter multicellular)
So itβd take 4 gens to get to multi with this system after acquiring BA at the earliest? Maybe it is a little long?
I would make it add 2 cells each gen, so it would be balanced a bit
Yeah I was going to suggest the same, 2 gens seems like a good compromise
Should other AI cells of the Player species also start to stick together (if they have the binding agent) in small bound groups to make it easier to get to Multicellular? It would also be useful for eventually having other AI get to Multicellular.
