A better question would be why a pilus would affect the rotation speed.
We have given up trying to have the physics engine calculate the rotation speed, so instead we just have a math formula that is given the list of organelles and it then figures out the rotation speed. Making that handle pili specially would require extra written code to be put into it. And that code doesnβt exist so the pili affect rotation exactly the same as any other organelle would.

Also, I just realized sometimes it can be difficult to read the small text next to when someone is replying, due to the small gray text sometimes being obfuscated by parts image in the background. Is it possible to change the color of the replying indication text to something like Chartreuse, or a color that people who arenβt colorblind can also see?

Itβs possible but despite me asking like many times over the years, itβs been like 5+ years since anyone besides me has changed anything related to the forums theme.

Why do cells that look like 90 degree angles in the editor look like triangles in the environment? If a species is shaped like an angle in the editor, shouldnβt that be the way itβs shaped in the overworld?

Thatβs because membrane logics wants there to be membrane in the space between any two cellparts. Thatβs also probably why flagella form these cones when stacked on eachother.

The membrane is always a convex shape and doesnβt support concave parts.
