Quick Question Thread

That’s when a draft is deleted I think. So maybe 20 days after one makes a draft?

Is the draft deletion time limit determined by forum rank? I had that draft for over four months, so it may have reached the time limit very soon.

Idk, I don’t remember the timeperiod after which drafts deleted themselves exactly. I do this it was in the range of a few months at most though…

I’m not aware that per-thread draft posts would ever expire in Discourse…

What do you mean by β€œper-thread drafts”?

If you start a draft for a post in a thread, and then open another thread, you can start another draft. So you can have one draft per thread + a general new thread draft in Discourse.

I don’t recall either of these would be β€œpermanent” in the forum’s storage…

When diseases are eventually added into the game, will the same diseases occur across many game stages, or will they be game stage specific?

Considering the timescale the individual disease species might remain distinct between stages up until society.

It is planned that the Player will not be the first organism on land, since Plant-like organisms and Fungi-like organisms will already be on land before Player? Or can Players explore a barren surface devoid of life, like how it was originally on early Earth?

If they are fast enough, maybe they can do manage to see a dead wasteland above the waves…

It would be cool to play as the first Plant-like organism or Fungi-like organism colonizing land for the first time in the world’s history.

Well you can play as those… Whilst giving up the chances of becoming a sapient organism at the same time.

It would kind of funny/interesting if non-motile plant-like and fungi-like organisms could evolve neurons, but then they can’t do anything upon becoming aware/awakened since they cannot move like animals.

Well they shouldn’t be able to get brains in the first place.

Would Players then need to evolve into Plantanimals/Funganimals?

Perhaps, or maybe those would be dead ends more meant for autoevo than the player?

Will Windows 10 users still be able to update the Thrive Launcher after Windows 10 EoL on October 14?

I don’t see why that would no longer be the case…

It will likely take quite a while to stop working on Windows 10, because AFAIK the launcher still works on Windows 7 and is only likely to break next year with one more dotnet runtime update.

And I also have my Windows test computer stuck on Windows 10 as it doesn’t have whatever TPM is required for 11.
