How will Thirst and Hunger regulation be handled? Will Thrive go with the hormonal (i.e. Vasopressin, and Ghrelin and Leptin), physical, and psychological cues route?

By hormonal you mean some sort of a message popping up?
In mammalian thirst response, seeing water and putting it onesβ mouth causes VPN neurons to be inhibited by other neurons in the Lamina Terminalis ( of the Hypothalamus) even before the physical act of drinking has occurred.

So it would seem like youβve already drinked even though you have not? Is that worth implementing really?
Plants and Animals all require water. Most Plants and Animals can still drown. Too much of a good thing can be a very bad thing. Drinking too much water leas to Water Intoxication, also known as Hyponatremia. This can lead to:
Headache
Nausea
Vomiting
Lethargy
Fatigue
Confusion
Memory Loss
Cramping
Muscle Weakness
Spasms
Seizures
Coma
Death

Would eating too much just cause vomiting or worse?
Pain, (Bloating and/or Heartburn) Gas, Nausea, Tiredness, and of course Obesity if it is done often.
Certain foods would likely have additional bad effects if overeaten. Like eating too much sugar could cause diabetes, while eating too much salt can lead to increased blood pressure and strokes.
