What if we created an intelligent plant?

I don’t know if you’d be able to go to industrial and beyond

I don’t think you would be allowed to evolve it in the first place, unless you do it artificially as some seed world thing or smth

It’s not that you wouldn’t be allowed, it’s that photosynthesis is so heavy/energy inefficient that a plant with brain cells and muscles would likely not get enough energy to move/survive.

To my knowledge, the only CURRENTLY “not allowed” thing is Aquatic Industrial, with talks about other civs possibly needing limits. The rest is about managing to get enough energy to survive, which is Auto-Evo, which does not “prohibit” anything, to my knowledge.

Also pretty sure in the future you won’t be allowed to change membrane types in multicellular, so you wouldn’t be able to make a “true” plant with axons anyway

I am fairly certain axons don’t require a specific membrane type.

Then again, that is based on life as we know it, so who knows if neuronal cells with other membranes are possible?

Just because it looks similar doesn’t mean it has the same/similar function, if that’s what you wanted to signal

If thrive begins getting an new high enough influx of money for a second full time developer, or HH becomes unable to keep working for whatever unfortunate reason (god i hope that don’t happen) who would be this second developer? Or that wasn’t even thought yet?

Not sure this sort of plan was exactly laid out yet. Probably since if anything we’re for now trying to secure the money flow for Hhyyrylainen, not another dev.

At which scale do compound clouds become too small and insignificant for our species that it has to use something else? Are they only going to eat preys if they can’t make energy themselves?

That will happen in macroscopic I think.
