yes, but through more sci-fi-ish means that let the energy that’d cause (pulling a ship down if it’s trying to use antimatter propulsion) if done normally to be put into something else, like a stream of fire, while the light is still redirected (ex: into a solar panel thing, or just a beefy solar sail, to extract a bit more energy per bit of antimatter, cause that Belgium is EXPENSICE to make)

nuclear salt water rockets are a very efficient form of fission rocket, matter-antimatter anhilation can easily be 100% efficient at turning matter into energy, and a single proton or antiproton contains 0.000000150284161797 joules which may not look like a lot, but if you consider how 1 mole of atomic(rather than elemental, which is 2 grams/mol) hydrogen gas is 1 gram, it’s a LOT of energy for that little mass, since that adds up to 90 terajoules. and if you can perfectly convert the thrust from a few picograms a second, that’s still 90.5 Kilowatts of thrust. for mere picograms of fuel.

well yeah, but that’s why i’m gonna be researching as much on it as i can, and researching green sulfur bacteria so we can use them and a couple new castes to get solar power tens of times more efficient than any other entity on the planet has access to, to remove any possibility of a shortage of power, as long as there is light to see with the most sensitive equipment humans have made
of course, we will need to turn them into black sulfur bacteria to get as much out of them as we can, but that’ll also require cooling them quite rapidly in any light level brighter than pluto time
