this is not generative AI at all.
it does use machine learning but the machines do NOT generate the final meaning/output, unlike LLMs and AI art.
(assuming the project has not radically changed since the sperm whale stuff which is the only one i read in depth back when it was kinda new)

remember the word AI is always a misnomer, it means nothing. Basic app programming was called AI at one point, as was hardware computing of image stuff using basic filters, as was so many other things. AI just means โ€œwhen youโ€™re impressed with how smart the computer is beingโ€, or in the context of today, โ€œwhat i have to add at the end of every product or sentence to get the investor to give me moneyโ€
